“And it has been one hell of a year. I have worn the seasons under my sleeves, on my thighs, running down my cheeks. This is what surviving looks like, my dear.” - Michelle K
STOP THINKING SO HARDStop worrying too much and over thinking about things. Chances are, whatever your picturing inside your head won't probably even happen! I realized that over thinking can sometimes lead to bad decisions and eventually, regret. IT'S COMPLETELY OKAY TO STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE ONCE IN A WHILEI'm so glad I broke out of my shell the past year. Getting out of my comfort zone brought me new friends, opportunities and experiences that I will treasure forever. Getting out of my shell changed me. And for the better. | YOU ARE SELFLESSI'm not even ashamed to say that I got this from something Taylor Swift said: "You are loving someone purely because you love them, not because you think you'll ever have your affections reciprocated. You are admiring something for its beauty, without needing to own it. Feel good about being the kind of person who loves selflessly. " After experiencing the pain of unrequited love, reading this made me feel better about myself. Yes, the person you love doesn't love you back but it's okay. It's not the end of the world. YOU WILL EVENTUALLY MOVE ONLike I said, it's not the end of the world. It's just an end of a chapter-- or maybe a paragraph. You will move on and you will look back at both wonderful and heartbreaking memories with a smile on your face. 2014 taught me that every suffering has an ending, only if you let it end. |
The past year was definitely a roller coaster ride, as cliche as that sounds. I learned a lot about myself and I think I changed for the better, albeit still making bad decisions from time to time. If you're like me who made it out with alive with a few scratches and bruises, then cheers to us. 2014 was definitely one hell of a year.
