I love discovering new places-- especially if they're as beautiful as this. My friend and I tried out Artist's Haven in BF Homes and we were so enamored by the place. The walls were painted in pastel pink and yellow and the paintings were so beautiful. It was the perfect place for deep conversations over coffee and for writing prose and poetries.
What's inside my bag posts are usually the kind of post I really enjoy reading (or watching, if it's on YouTube). It seems really privy but I enjoy looking inside other people's bag to see what they always carry around with them. In a sense, what a person carries in his or her bag sort of describe what kind of person he or she is. And I like that. I don't really have one specific school bag so I didn't include it in the picture anymore. I usually just get whatever matches my outfit and transfer everything there. Same goes with the bag I use for day outs with friends. I usually just take out my school notebook and my laptop and I'm good to go. counterclockwise : laptop, Starbucks planner, wallet, iPhone 6 plus, MAC lipstick in Soulfully Rich, black ballpen, iphone charger, journal, earphones, school notebook, cheek and lip tint, lighter, Maybelline Matte Mousse, specs by Sunnies and Charlie I bring my laptop to school almost everyday because it's easier to write (last minute) papers and do presentations. The sticker is made by my multimedia artist friend, Dianne. I carry my journal and my planner with me everywhere I go. My journal is where I write poems and prose and occasional snippets of my life. I don't know the brand of that lip / cheek tint cus my friend just gave it to me after a girl left it in his car. I really love it though! The tint looks very natural on my skin.
I used to carry this huge handbag to school and I would put almost everything there from my makeup kit to my hair spray. Never again. I recently switched from Android to iPhone and I am beyond satisfied. I've had an Android since I was old enough to own a smartphone and I will love it forever but it's good to have a phone device that has a huge storage space on it. The iPhone 6 plus is so huge and so great that ever since getting it, I've been blatantly ignoring my iPad. I swear, I haven't charged it in almost two weeks! Below is a screenshot of my lock screen-- an iPhone wallpaper I downloaded from Tara Victoria. Just a little reminder to keep on writing.
5. Pocket Pocket is an app where you can save articles, photos or videos that you want to view offline. This is one of the apps that I use all the time since it's so helpful especially if you want to read something over and over again but there's no wifi available. The articles I saved are mostly articles from thoughtcatalog.
INSTAGRAM Okay, who doesn't love instagram?! I've recently made a new account for a fresh start and I've been really OC with my feed. I'm slowly creating my personal brand I wanted to start with instagram since it's an app everyone is obsess with. So there you go! Just 12 of my favorite iOs apps! My hair right now is shorter than it is in these photos and I love it. When people see girls who had really long hair (mine was almost past my butt) drastically change their hairstyle, they would often ask one simple question, "Are you heartbroken?". I don't know when or how cutting your hair became synonymous to heartbreak and moving on but I've witnessed friends, schoolmates and even celebrities who drastically changed hairc
LAIYA, BATANGASTook a two-hour drive to Laiya, Batangas with my girls last weekend. The weather was really gloomy and the resort felt kind of homey with just a few people checked-in so it was definitely perfect for a weekend getaway. Since it was freezing and also raining, we only swam for a few minutes. Swimming in that kind weather was something I've never done before but I'm really glad I did. The constant shivering and the red nose were worth it. There should always be a first for everything, right? The cure for anything is salt water-- sweat, tears and the sea On our way to the resort, we passed by small houses surrounded by trees and mountains and one of my friends explained that she can never live in that kind of environment since it was too quiet for her taste. My other friend added that she's a city girl for life so she can't live in that kind of stillness either. I've always been the type who can live in both worlds. I enjoy the tranquility of a quiet village by the mountains or the ocean and I can also enjoy the excitement of a big ol' city. But if the question was where I would want to live, I'd definitely choose somewhere quiet and serene like a mountain or a beach.
Photography by Patricia VillaramaJust before Christmas, I chopped more than 10 inches of my hair. I've been growing it out for more than two years. Going short after a long period of time having it past your shoulders feels like such a huge decision. Cutting my hair short felt like getting out of my comfort zone but I love it. My hair looks healthier, my head feels lighter and I think I look happier.
I needed this change. “And it has been one hell of a year. I have worn the seasons under my sleeves, on my thighs, running down my cheeks. This is what surviving looks like, my dear.” - Michelle K
The past year was definitely a roller coaster ride, as cliche as that sounds. I learned a lot about myself and I think I changed for the better, albeit still making bad decisions from time to time. If you're like me who made it out with alive with a few scratches and bruises, then cheers to us. 2014 was definitely one hell of a year.
