I recently switched from Android to iPhone and I am beyond satisfied. I've had an Android since I was old enough to own a smartphone and I will love it forever but it's good to have a phone device that has a huge storage space on it. The iPhone 6 plus is so huge and so great that ever since getting it, I've been blatantly ignoring my iPad. I swear, I haven't charged it in almost two weeks! Below is a screenshot of my lock screen-- an iPhone wallpaper I downloaded from Tara Victoria. Just a little reminder to keep on writing.
VSCOCAM | PHOSTER |
This is the main app I use to edit my photos on instagram since the filter are really nice and it doesn't look so overdone. I mostly use A6, SE3, J2, HB2 and A8 since I want a very consistent feed. The filters I mentioned aren't free but I swear, it's worth your money. | An app specifically for creating minimalist posters! This is actually what I used to create the photo above. It has beautiful templates that you can customize to your liking. SNAPCHAT |
SNAPSEED I use Snapseed to edit the brightness, shadows, contrast and saturation of a photo. My favorite feature is the Selective Adjust where you can adjust the brightness, contrast and saturation of a specific area of your photo. This is perfect for editing a photo with a white background (a flatlay on instagram). | I am currently obsessed with this! If you're not familiar with Snapchat, it's an app where you send photos or videos to people and it will be completely gone after a few seconds. You have a choice to either send it to specific people or post it as your 'story' where everyone on your friend list can view it for 24 hours. Add me up there : nettiesolon |
5. Pocket
Pocket is an app where you can save articles, photos or videos that you want to view offline. This is one of the apps that I use all the time since it's so helpful especially if you want to read something over and over again but there's no wifi available. The articles I saved are mostly articles from thoughtcatalog.
TIMEHOP A little #tbt for you. It's always nice to see things you've posted on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook a year or two ago. This will app will definitely make you feel nostalgic. It will also make you laugh at how "emo" your tweets in the past are. Or maybe that's just me. Haha! YIK YAK Yik Yak is described to be an app for college students. I mostly use this to post funny and embarrassing things I can't post on Twitter in fear of getting judged by school mates and friends since Yik Yak is very anonymous. It's like Gossip Girl... but better. | PINTEREST I must admit that I never really understood the concept of Pinterest when it first came out. I remember reading articles saying that it will be the next Tumblr but at that time, I never really saw that happening. But now, I'm probably on Pinterest more than I am on Tumblr and Facebook and that's saying something! It's a good site for finding inspiration and creating mood boards. Follow me there! FLIPBOARD Flipboard is a news app that has a really clean and minimalist interface. I am a sucker for those so I chose it among all other news apps. Flipboard allows you to follow people and also choose categories you're more interested in reading! IF by IFTTT IF lets you create recipes to make it easier for you to share, post, or do whatever you want in all platforms. My favorite recipe is when I post a photo on instagram, it also posts as a photo on Twitter instead of just the url. Another one is when I text #volumup on my phone incase it gets lost under a couch or something and the ringer is off. You can customize your own recipes or use other people's recipes! SNAPGUIDESnapguide won me over with their beautiful interface and minimalistic logo. It's basically for people who wants step-by-step guides or tutorials on how to do certain things. You can also choose topics you're most interested in such as fashion tips, DIY projects, gardening, etc. |
